We teach our customers how to teach themselves
The internet is teeming with innovation. We serve as guides through the wilderness. A thirty minute primer is usually a great start.
How do we teach?
We tutor over the phone using a program called Teamviewer, which we will help you install on your computer for use during our sessions. For the duration of the tutoring, Teamviewer allows us to see your screen and ‘commandeer’ the mouse and keyboard to show you things click-by-click. It’s a great way for us to help customers over the phone because it’s more “hands on.” We recommend customers keep a running list of questions handy and then call in.
If there’s something you’d like to learn more about you’re not finding here give us a call! We tailor lessons that specifically respond to your interests.
Everyone learns differently. When it comes to the subject matter and pace of the session, we take our queues from you. We also teach you how to teach yourself by emphasizing the power of Internet search, which is the path that leads to all places. Understanding how to use search functions in search engines (Google or Bing) is very powerful and can help you get right to what you’re looking for. That way, instead of getting stuck, you can using the right search terms to find the resource you’re looking for and get on your way to the immense resources available for those interested in learning, from YouTube videos to Wikipedia, blogs and websites.
Sometimes, though, you get really stuck, so even after we provide a good foundation you may end up with a list of questions you’d like answers to. As always, we’re but a phone call away.
